The ALL IRELAND FINAL we have been waiting for……for 16 YEARS…..DUBLIN V KERRY
ARE WE THERE YET?
YES WE ARE AND YES WE CAN!
The All IRELAND FINAL THIS SUNDAY will be a scorcher on the football pitch and hopefully on the day as well! Dublin will take on the might of Kerry once again. Kerry being the most successful team in the history of the championship look to be the favourites with Kerry having won it 36 times as compared to Dublin’s 22 times. But who worries about a little thing like that?
Dublin are ready, they keep telling us so. I believe them. They have a great belief, focus, hunger and determination to lift the Sam McGuire Cup once again after a drought of 16 years. Good Luck to both teams…Go on the Dubs….Go on Kerry… What we want from you is a passion flowing throughout the game for the best result… Dublin lifting the Cup of course!
Remember also the party truly begins the evening before with FEVERPITCH 2011. Check out www.crokepark.ie/events/upcoming-events/feverpitch-2011 for more details.

PHIZZFEST PHIBSBOROUGH COMMUNITY ARTS FESTIVAL 3rd-11th SEPTEMBER 2011
Phibsborough, as an area, is a mixture of transience and permanence – this is what gives it flavour and texture. James Joyce spent two years of his childhood in a house on St. Peter’s Road, Iris Murdoch was born and lived for a short time in Blessington Street. It goes without saying that these are two great writers, and like all great writers they are also great thinkers. Whether you have lived all your life in Phibsborough, or, like James and Iris, are just passing through, join us at
Phizzfest 2011 for what promises to be a very satisfying and generous feast of

great literature and even better thinking! Not to mention feasting your eyes and taste buds with the French Provencal/Bistro chef Troy Maguire.
Last years Phizzfest featured a wide variety of musical events, from the Palestrina Choir in St. Peter’s Church, to a Battle of the Bands in Dalymount: there was Jazz, Trad, Punk-Rock and most points in between, and finishing up with a day-long parade of acts on the open- air Festival Stage.
This year, we plan to do more and better. There will be a mixture of concerts, recitals and sessions, along with some more informal and, we hope, quite unorthodox and original performances, in some odd locations. There will be local musicians, former locals and visitors: Phibsboro’ has always had a diverse and inventive cast of musicians, but there is an even larger community of those who have lived here once, and remember it fondly. And that, without giving too much away, is something else we’d like to celebrate this time around.
Some events will be free, some will attract a small cover charge and some will be ticketed, but whatever your taste, and whatever your schedule, we think there will be something you need to see, something else you think you might like to see, and something completely surprising that you’ll have no idea you want to see –until you do. Dublin singer/songwriter Ciara sidine is one to see, dubbed Celtic Ameriacano in her style, her sound is inspired by the roots of American music and her own Irish musical upbringing. Her voice is compared to the greats like, Emmlou Harris, Mary Black…..
CHECK OUT www.phizzfest.ie for more details on how to book and where all the gigs are at. Come and support this great festival and stay with us while you are there. We are 5 minutes by foot to Phibsborough. Ring us now on +35318303611
